Relationships as key for a healthy life

Think of the best (or worse) moments of your life. Who was with you? How (s)he made you feel? What is the role of other people in your life?

We are social animals and the quality of the relationships we have with the people around us plays an essential role in how we experience life and on our mental and physical health.

During this workshop you will learn about:

– How & Why other people matter and how they impact our mental well‑being

– Practical ways to improve the quality of your relationships with the close ones (children, parents, friends, colleagues)

– Practical ways to bring and maintain positive relationships with other people

The animators of this session will be:

Vera Kristensen is a psychologist, resilience trainer and translator. She is dedicated to making the world a better place through positive psychology, meditation and supporting bereaved children. After her BSc (Honours) in Psychology in 2017 she went on to study a master’s programme in applied positive psychology and graduated in 2021 with distinction for her original STREAM resilience programme for working people during the Covid-19 pandemic. She has been practicing meditation for two decades and is a passionate student and practitioner of engaged Buddhism of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. For the last four years she has been facilitating weekly meditation meetings.

Suzanne Karsai is a mediator, lawyer and relationship coach. Suzanne is one of the founders of PPL asbl and active since the beginning. She was trained by the Foundation ”The World is Better With You” in 2016 to animate and deliver Happiness programs based on positive psychology. Convinced of the life-changing benefits of PP interventions, she has led numerous groups both in Hungary and in Luxembourg.

This workshop is part of the Resilience & Well-Being for parents program of our PPL asbl supported by Foundation Oeuvre Grand Duchesse Charlotte. It is addressing adults (who happen to be also parents) and the term relationship is used as general term (not specifically for family, romantic partners etc).
